What to expect at BERCs
Turning up to a club or group is never easy, but at BERCs we pride ourselves on making every new runner welcome and feel part of the crew.
The ideas come from the coaches, but the session is yours to fit into your training goals. You will always be supported, you will always be encouraged and we try to make it fun too!
Here are some examples of typical training nights.
Our February track session was our chance to showcase that BERCs is for everyone, whether you're a club runner or a social runner.
Our runners wore their affiliated and non affiliated club tops, showing we are made up of many different runners from the local run clubs and groups.
These included:
Our own BERCs, Ilkeston RC, Heanor RC, KADS, Mansfield RC, Redhill RC, Broxtowe Tri Club, Derbyshire Police RC and our favourite of all... a mini BERC!
Here we did a simple mile loop in Brinsley.
This was all done at our runners own paces, as many times as they felt comfortable doing on the night.
At BERCs we will never push you to go any further than you feel you can do, we will always show you the route we plan to take so you won't get lost and most of all we promise lots of encouragement along the way!
