Firstly we have the ladies MASTERS
First up was Claire Marie not on her favourite leg but still put in a solid run to come home in 22:30.
Next up was Nic Hubbard, shouting encouragement to the other BERCs and she still had the energy to get round in another solid 23:09.
The ladies were performing well just as the debut BERC Priya Agheda took to the track and finished the job off brilliantly, as she came round in a cracking 22:29, to finish a brilliant 6th in category.
Well done ladies. Jog on BERCs
Next up were the more mature men.
First was Nick Ralphs, it was great to see back in the BERC vest. Consistent throughout to run a fab 19:25, just in time to jump in the queue for a coffee!
Next up, was yours truly, managing to take all the cheering and screaming from the adoring public (no? Just me heard it?!) I got round in 19:44.
On the third leg, was Mark Leslie. He couldn't hold on to his hat but kept a grasp of his glasses to run 21:02. Good to see you back.
Finally it was Darren 'Burt' Powell who charged round the course like a cannon ball run to come home in 17:59 to bring home the masters in 9th in their category.
Jog on BERCs.
Finally we have the seniors, who once again ran superb.
On the first leg we saw Kev Copestake who was finally making a return to racing after so many years of toil. After being shocked by the hill, he finished off with a fab finish to come through in 19:00. Great to see you back mate.
Next up was Ryan Stocks, who set off in great shape flying through his first mile. Catching people throughout he come home in a cracking 17:59. One day you'll realise how well you're running mate.
In the third leg, it was another debutant and another Ryan. This time Ryan Horton. Stepping in at the last minute it couldn't be easy but was well welcomed and put in a solid shift, getting round in 17:54. Great run.
Finally it was another BERC debutant in Jordan Boam bringing the boys home!! Not realising the drool he was creating as runners watched his technique and more mature ladies commented his terrific S&C program, he shot round the course in a brilliant 16:15 to bring us home in 9th place.
Cracking running and a cracking day
Well done BERCs
