Monday was the last evening of the winter sessions and after a great block of training the BERC's are ready for spring. As they finished with some great performances to end the winter season.
First up was Andy who at the start of the month ran a new pb of 16:52 at the Alvaston park run before backing that up with a fab 2:06 at Ashby. For 14th overall.
Meanwhile good friend and nemesis Lewis clocked a new pb of 16:47 at Victoria embankment. Superb running and great to see the pair of you pushing each other on.
Meanwhile Dan G showed his training as been going well as he took a minute off last years time, in the Notts 5. Great work Dan and richly deserved.
Ryan ran 38:28minutes in Cyprus for 10k and though the last 5k was a struggle. I'm sure a sub 37 is on the cards in the future.
Meanwhile Helen continued her form with victory in the masters at the Derby 10kish in 37:42. Before running 2:22:21 at Ashby to get 6th overall and 4th in her age group.
Superb end to winter everyone and we're looking forward to Spring.
Jog on BERC's.

January has been a good start for the BERC's. It started at the start of the month when a number of the team took on the county champs.
Mother and son duo, Helen and Alex put in great runs. Helen representing Kimberley ran a solid race. Finishing 11th and 4th in her age group. Just missing out on a medal. Meanwhile her son Alex was representing the Mansfield under 11's team. The three man team ran superbly and came away with a fantastic bonze medal. Well done the both of you.
We also had many of the runners taking part in the first cross country BDL race in January. A tough course but everyone performed well.
Finally we had Ryan who travelled to Skegness to take on the 10k. After the Christmas break and a rough nights sleep the day before He still came away with a cracking 38:16. A great start to the season and much more to come.
Well done everyone.
